Differences between Greasers and Socs

I can see how people are judged based on their appearances in the book. For example, you can easily tell if someone is a Soc or a Greaser because of the way they dress or by their harstyles.

Greasers wear blue jeans,T-shirts,Leather Jacket,Tennis Shoes or Boots.Greasers drive souped-up cars and get into a lot of fights.They had long hair which they only wore with grease on.Their hair was their identity.When Ponyboy lost his long greasy hair,he said he lost his identity.

On the other hand Socs wear their hair neat and short.Socs wear dress shoes,madras shirts,sometimes they wore sports jacket from a team.They made their hair look a bit wet and combed it to the side.They put a lot of English Cologne on.Socs drove Mustangs and Corvairs.

When the Rumble was on Ponyboy realised that Socs don't get blamed for anything because they looked decent and blame their problems on the greasers,because Greasers looked hoody and are poor.

Differences between Greasers and Socs
