Speed of the waves

All the waves in the Electromagnetic Spectrum travel at the same speed, known as the ‘speed of light’ which is 300,000,000 m/s. The distance between the Earth and the Sun is 150,000,000,000 meaning that if the Sun disappears, it would take us ONLY 8 minutes to realise. In air, the speed of the Electromagnetic waves are about the same, being only slightly slower. In water however, the speed of the Electromagnetic waves is about 225,000,000 m/s.
