The Christopher H. Browne Center for International Politics

Since 1997, the Christopher H. Browne Center has promoted interdisciplinary research and teaching across the University on international relations, international security, and international political economy. The Center sponsors visiting speakers and scholars, awards research grants, and organizes conferences.

The Rena and Angelius Anspach lecture series, hosted annually by the Browne Center, brings leading thinkers on international affairs to the Penn campus.The 2014-15 lecture featured Michael McFaul, U.S. ambassador to the Russian Federation from 2012 to 2014, who spoke on “Confronting Putin’s Russia: Long-Term Economic and Foreign Policy Implications.”
