How Nuclear Power Works
Step 1: Uranium is mined from the Earth.
Step 2: The uranium is enriched and made into uranium fuel pellets.
Step 3: Enriched uranium is placed in a nuclear reactor.
Step 4: Fission occurs in the reactor, which releases large amounts of heat and energy.
Step 5: The heat and energy creates steam.
Step 6: The steam turns a turbine connected to a generator.
Step 7: The generator produces electricity.
