Meanwhile, chryseis'a father, a priest of Apollo begged Agamemnon for his daughter's return but he refused and shoed him off. When Apollo heard this he sent a great sickness over the Greek camp and where forced to send chryseis back to her father to stop the sickness. Agamemnon was furious and ordered Bryseis to be his slave instead. Achilles was angry and argued with Agamemnon. Achilles then went out to the beach and started to cry. His mother came as mist and asked him what was wrong. He told her and he then asked that she could ask Zeus for a Trojan victory to prove to Agamemnon that he needed Achilles help.
