Where Did He Come From?

Peter Lalor was born in the family home of Tenakill, at Raheen in the Country Laois (then known as Queen's County), Ireland.

What Was His Early Life Like?

When he was young he started as a merchant ( a business person engaged in retail trades.) He was a civil engineer in Ireland before he moved to Australia for the gold rush.
He then moved to Australia in 1852 for the gold rush. He also had a wife and 2 beautiful children.
