A simple dislocation means it just pops out. "does not have bone Injures". A complex dislocation means it injures bones and ligaments.
A sever dislocation means the blood vessels and neves that travel to your elbow can be damaged on top of torn ligaments and broken bones. There is also a risk that you'll lose your arm due to lack of blood flow and nerve damage. (Basically your arm is rotting). Simple elbow dislocations are treated by keeping the elbow in a splint or sling for two to three weeks. Then followed by early motion exercises. If the elbow is kept still to long, the ability to move the elbow fully may be affected. Physical therapy is recommended. Some people will never be able to fully extend there arm, even after physical therapy. But, the good news the elbow can work very well even without full range of motion (full movement ). Once the elbow's range of motion improves, the doctor or physical therapist may add a strengthening program. X-rays may be taken a lot while the elbow recovers to make sure that the bones stay inline.
How long does it take someone to recover from it? And How does the injury heal?
