How did my service project impact me and the way in which I understand my desire/responsibility to help others?

This service project was very beneficial to me. I learned that through bringing myself and my help to a place where people are having a hard time, I can make a difference and continue what Jesus taught us to do. It made me realize that I should take "treat other the way you would want to be treated" more seriously, because if I was in that situation, I would want a friendly face too.
