Environmental Change: Flooding can cause both a negative or positive effect on the platypus environment. It fills the homes with sediment or logs and branches. Or it could cause the home to erode.
Responding to Change: Flooding would effect the population of platypuses more than the environment. The animals could drown, catch pneumonia, or they could be pushed away by the currents. Also their burrows (homes) would flood and that's where their food supply is.
