~Plague doctors were men that were sometimes able to help sick patients. Although most of the doctors were meant to help, many of the doctors refused to help plague- infected victims as they didn't want the plague. Only the rich people were able to pay for the service of the plague doctors, while many poor people received medical help from monks or nuns. Plague doctors would wear- beak-like masks over thier mouths that they then filled with herbs and spices to smell as they helped patients.
