Sand Grouse

These birds have specialized feathers on their belly that can soak up small amounts of water.

Peccary/Javalena

These animals have a tough mouth and digestive system. They can eat prickly pears without being pricked by them.

Camel

The humps of a camels store fat. They also have thick hairs in their ears as for their eyelashes to keep the sand out.
