The logo

The logo of AI is a candle wrapped in barbed wire.

The logo was created by the British artist Diana Redhouse, when the association was born from an idea of the founder Peter Benenson.

The barbed wire reminds us of the unjustices in the jail camps, and the violation of human rights; the candle represents the fight of the association against these unjustices, also symbolises the hope of the victims.
