There is not unlimited supply of any natural resources.

Most of resources will all eventually run out

Water (freshwater), heat, coal, petroleum will all eventually run out.

Our food sources will also in time vanish from Earth

People say that reducing, reusing and recycling are important for making our natural resources for lasting longer on Earth.

-Why care?

We know that we don't have a vast supply of our most important resources but we still act as though it will never run out. Our careless mistakes now will harm our future generations. Our future generations will not be capable of surviving without the most important resources we have no

-Some natural resources the way we use them harm Earth and life on Earth.

Some of our most common resources we daily are coal and petroleum

These resources are non-renewable and not clean sources of energy

Even with clean energy sources not many people can use them because they are not cheap

Fossil fuels are common to life on Earth but cause environmental problems

They can lead to the greenhouse effect, air pollution, and acid rain

Reducing the use of these resources will save forestry and life on Earth

-Overpopulated nations

South Africa’s total population is 48, 375, 645

Not everyone can get to the natural resources that they need

Some people use more than they really need causing a problem

What we don’t use can be reused, giving to others or recycle it

Reducing, reusing, recycling the resources we have will keep them longer on Earth

Some people live in poverty others live easy lives but everyone’s decision will affect the future generations

-Landfill Concerns

When we throw trash to the dump we think it is not our problem but it because out problem

We believe that the trash is no longer our problem and it won’t affect us

When areas are cleared for landfill acres of trees are destroyed

Trash will have an affect on the environment by land pollution

We can prevent this by reducing the amount of trash we make, reuse what we can and recycle

Bisasar Road is Africa’s largest landfill site in Durban, South Africa

In 1980 it was open for the public and caused concerns to the public

This site basically took the trash away from the rich and took it to the working class area and took away their rights

The dump generates about 3,000 to 5,000 tonnes of waste

The community near the area were in a danger zone because there water and health were affected from the landfill site

-Destruction of Habitats

Throughout time people have advanced in society

People destroyed habitats to develop communities

It is completely natural now to destroy habitats so easily without thinking

When we destroy habitats we are destroying plant life, animals, our air is affected, food supply and sometimes water

South Africa has been found to have 70 percent of 8,500 vascular plants and are found nowhere else in the world

Natural vegetation sites were destroyed for agricultural and urban development

Animals and plants are being threatened into extinction because of our selfishness

People in all have bad habits of not reducing, reusing or recycling that are leading to major problems in the world
