Oogway connects to a real life person by the qualities he possesses. Oogway is kind, patient, and wise. Everyone in the movie would go to him for advice all the way from Kung Fu to life lessons. I think everyone should have or want an Oogway. Having a role model is important to keep you on the right path and that's what Oogway does.
