Contracts and Contradictions

I thought that since Tally threw the the locket(that had a tracker in it) into the fire the Special Circumstances wouldn't be able to find the Smoke, ever. To my surprise the Specials came the very next day!

I thought that David's parents would have survived the attack from the Special Circumstance because they were so well prepared, but they ended up getting captured and imprisoned.

Tally thought that the Smoke would be a place where you could do just about anything your heart desires. It ended up that you have assigned jobs and have to use resources like cutting down hundreds of trees just to survive.
