Although the Beast made her stay at the castle and treated her badly, she still showed him compassion by helping to heal his wounds. He got hurt trying to save her from the wolves, which made her realize he might not be so evil after all.

When Belle sees how much the Beast has sacrificed to save her and her father, she realizes that she can forgive him. She decides to go back to the castle to show him how much she cares. And when he fights Gaston, she knows that she could love even a beast, no matter his faults or his appearance.
