Why are we made fun of because of our looks?

Some people get made fun of because people think that they're "ugly" or "fat". When I was in grade six a girl came up to me and asked me if I was pregnant and that really hurt me. But when someone says that you have to remember that only you can decide if you are beautiful or not. No girl or guy can decide if you're hot or not. I know it's nice to be told that your beautiful once and a while but remember that only you can decide. When your older, people start caring a little more about what's inside (your personality). Sadly getting bullied because of your looks can happen because of your colour of skin, if you were born with facial deformities, your size, or looks (if your pretty or not).
