Short Term Effects

• It produces amnesia in which individuals may not remember

events they experienced while under the drug

• Effects of the drug start 20 to 30 minutes after taking the drug and

peak within two hours

• May be lethal when mixed with alcohol or other CNS depressants

• Produces drowsiness, sleep, decreased anxiety, and amnesia
