Fossil fuel

Defintion

noun

a natural fuel such as coal or gas, formed in the geological past from the remains of living organisms.

Fossil fuels are formed by decayed/decomposed or decomposing plants and animals.The decaying animal and plants convert to oil, coal , natural gas or to heavy oil due to the exposer of the heat from the sun.

Burning up fossil fuels creates large amounts of carbon dioxide which effects and contributes to global warming.


Examples of fossil fuels is the uses of burning coal, petroleum and natural gas etc.
