Examples: American robin

Robin- the male robin has more vibrant colors to attract the other sex. The female robin has dull colors to separate them between males. The more vibrant the males feathers are the more likely it will have offspring. This is a form of non-random mating because the female chooses her mate by how the male feathers are or by their looks.
