The life of Thomas
Thomas Augustus Watson was born on January, 18, 1854. He was born in Salem, Maine. Thomas Watson was dropped out of school at a age of 14, and worked as a bookkeeper and carpenter before being hired in a Boston machine shop. Bell hired Watson, and the two men jointly discovered that tones from a vibrating transmitter reed could be carried electrically by wire and audibly recreated. Bell and Watson via spoke two miles apart in Massachusetts, an extended conversation about technical matters, while reported on both sides of the conversation took notes.
