The different view points of this event

U.S.A

Soviet Union

The U.S players just took it as a normal game, but than realized the political side of it. The U.S fans and players were happy, excited, relieved, and a little surprised. They had won a game that everyone believed they would lose. The United States proved them wrong, and they were proud of it. They were all boosted with confidence.

The Soviet Union went into the game very confident. The last time they played them they won 10-1. So the players and the fans felt surprised, angry, confused, and even sad. The U.S ( the under dogs) beat them in a game everyone thought Soviet Union would win. They were the opposite of happy.
