The thirteen states affected were Alabama, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Mississippi, North Carolina, Ohio, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia.

Over 100 of the tornados had a path of over a mile. The tornados had a combined path of 2500 miles.
