Don't use anything abrasive that that can scratch or damage the waffle maker. Wipe the outside with a cloth only.

You need to be careful and make sure the waffle maker is unplugged when cleaning it. You need to use a cloth or paper towel when cleaning it

If you don't use a cloth or towel you will damage the grids inside of the waffle maker.
