Eugene V. Debs

Born on November 5, 1855, in Terre haute, Indiana. Died on October 20, 1926 in elmhurst, Illinois. He left home at age 14 to work I'm railroad shops and later became a locomotive fireman. He served as city clerk of Terre haute 1879-1883. Also as a member of the Indiana legislature in 1885.
