Mummification

Egyptian Mummification

Why: So the dead persons spirit could live forever. The Egyptians believed if the body was lost, so was the spirit. So pretty much the corpse was the spirits home.

Origin: 2750 BC

Contribution: This helped Egyptian society become more advanced, since the practiced mummification.

Ethics: The mummification process is good because it helped us understand the Egyptians bette, but it was also bad because grave robbers could steal the amulets that where put in the mummy during the mummification process.
