Title Significance

• Darcy had always felt something for Elizabeth, but his pride, high rank, and money persuaded him to go another direction

• Darcy moves past his high stature and Elizabeth's lack of money or rank to realize his true feelings for her

• Upon meeting Darcy, Elizabeth immediately resents him for being rude and unpleasant after he calls her "tolerable" at a ball

• Elizabeth begins to feel things for Darcy but quells her feelings after she is constantly reminded of his pride and unsocialbleness.

• It isn't until Darcy helps her youngest sister Lydia and her older sister Jane that Elizabeth realizes that Darcy is much like herself, and that she truly loves him
