Free Verse Poem

Free verse is an open form of poetry. It does not use consistent meter patterns, rhyme, or any other musical pattern. It thus tends to follow the rhythm of natural speech

EXAMPLE:

The fog comes                 

on little cat feet.

It sits looking

over harbor and city

on silent haunches

and then moves on.
