Formation of the Marist Brothers

St. Marcellin Champagnat founded the Marist Brothers to make it known about the love of Jesus and Mary. He founded the Marist brothers after he was called to Jean- Baptiste Montagne's home while he was dying. Montagne had no religious or academic education.

La Valla was the first Marist school. The school was affordable for community and free for those who couldn't afford it.
