Trial date was to be set in July.

Clarence Darrow was the defense attorney for scopes and william Jennings Bryan was the prosecutor

After immense questioning Darrow was able to get bryan to admit that the bible can be interpreted in different ways. Yet, scopes was still found guilty and was fined 100$

The Supreme Court later changed the verdict on a technicality but the teaching of evolution remained banned
