Ketamine is an anesthetic that makes the user feel as if their mind is separate from their body. It was developed in 1962 to replace animal anesthetics. The drug was then discovered to be a good anesthetic and was sold illegally. In the US, it is legal for people to use it medically, but not "just for fun". Ketamine is originally an injectable liquid, but turned into powder to snort or pills to consume in clubs.
