1. The men were James Marshall, Sutter, Sam Brandon. 

2.  Praiseworthy said that they would need doc Higgins because he is the only dentist around.

3. Praiseworthy pounding his umbrella signifies that praiseworthy is becoming more of a man and is giving up his past butler life.
