•Savannas can be located throughout Africa and in the northern part of Australia.
•The vegetation in savannas include flat top trees, shrubs, some flowers, and in some cases palm trees.
•Due to the harshness of this climate many plants have adapted to using tap roots in order to receive water, and various camouflages are used by different animals.
• In savannas there are two seasons, a wet season in the summer and a dry season in the winter.
• during this dry season there's only about 4 inches total of rain fall.
•Also, during dry seasons some streams and rivers dry up, causing animals to migrate.
