When Hermes was born he leaped out of his mom's arms and left the cave he found a tortoise and took its shell to create the first lyre he also used sheep guts and horns he stole from his older brother Apollo. As he walk through the forest with the sheep he stole he picked up two stickies and rubbed them together and then invented fire.

As a kid he vowed to steal whatever he wanted and he would steal it at anytime he wanted. Hermes and Apolloo went to Zeus to talk about problem of the cattels but after a while Zeus decided to make Hermes an Olympian God of birds,dogs, sheep,lions, and boars. He also made him the messenger for Olympus. Hephaestus created a helmet to make him invisible and sandals with wings to make his travel easier
