Being a Cabin Leader...All Summer Long

As one of five 3rd-year noncom at Camp Nathanael this summer, I was prioritized as a cabin leader (CL) for most weeks of the summer. Over the course of the summer I was the CL for 5 different cabins. That means that I was responsible for about 10 kids during any given week. My job was to ensure the safety of my campers, provide a level of structure to cabin-life and activities, co-lead (with my Assistant-CL of the particular week) the Bible-study times and devotionals, and be an example leader for my ACL (1st or 2nd year noncom) to learn from.
