SUMMARY

Back when he was a child, there was never enough food and Winston continuously demanded more for himself rather than sharing. Specifically, when a chocolate ration was issued, Winston steals his sister's portion of the ration and eats the whole ration. Winston then runs off only to come back and find that his mother and sister are gone.
