Tracing our understanding about the Holy Spirit

Jesus gradually revealed the mystery of the Holy Spirit. He promised to send the Holy Spirit to comfort and teach the disciples. It would be up to the spirit to give them needed help and comfort. Today the Holy Spirit comes to teach us the meaning of divine revelation and gives us the gift of fortitude that is the courage and strength to proclaim the gospel of Christ to the the world. the promises Jesus made to send the Holy Spirit were fulfilled at Pentecost Sunday. Now that the Holy Spirit has been given to the church we can search the Old Testament and see more clearly the holy spirits active presence in salvations history.
