Outcome

The 44 days of fighting only stop after the federal troops were brought in and the railroads companies gave in to some of the demands of the people. Over all over 75,000 miles of railroad were stopped or slowed down. Over 100 people were killed. At least a thousand were jailed. Most importantly the owners of the railroad companies had move respect for the people and how strong they were together.
