HIV infections have dropped by 40% between 2000 and 2013
The goal has halted by 2015 and began to reverse the spread of HIV/AIDS:
-75% of the new infections occurred in only 15 countries out of 196 countries
- Worldwide, only .8% of people ranging from 15-49 years of age had HIV in 2013
