History
Medecins Sans Frontieres, internationally known as Doctors Without Borders, was created on December 22, 1971 in response to Parisian revolts of May 1968 in Paris, France and the images of children dying from hunger in remote corners of the world from their television screens. At the time, it had 300 volunteers of doctors, nurses, and other staff, including the 13 founding doctors and journalists. Since 1980, they have opened offices in 28 countries and employs more than 30,000 people across the world. Over a hundred million patients have been treated since their founding.
