West Virginia State Folk Festival.

First we have the history of the state folk festival. The first time the festival was seen was in 1950 by a man named Dr. Patrick Gainer. In his words he described the festival as being "(a) way to preserve the culture and remnants of West Virginia." Even as big as it is this day in time the idea of the festival started out as an exhibit and soon became a program at glennvile state college. In many years to come the festival would come to see the glory that I would become. That is a little bit of history regarding the West Virginia state folk festival.
