Stages of Parkinson's disease








Stage 1: patient has mild symptoms, this may cause day to day inconvenience. This would cause shaking in one of the limbs

Stage 2: affecting both limbs and both sides of the body. Patient usually encounters problems walking or maintaining balance

Stage 3: more severe symptoms. can cause inability to walk straight or stand

Stage 4: unable to complete day to day tasks, and usually cannot live on their own, shakiness might lesson during this time. It is unknown why the shakiness my lesson.

Stage 5: final stage. Usually takes over physical movements. Cannot take care of themselves and won't be able to walk during this stage. Patients in this stage usually require one-on-one nursing care.
