Grass Cells under a Microscope

This is a picture of grass found in a backyard in Novi under a microscope at 40x. On the top of the grass cell is the cuticle, which in this picture turns out gray and is in a rectangular shape covering the green part. This makes sense because the cuticle is suppose to act as a protective layer for the other parts of the cell. The small green circles all through out the picture are the mesophyll cells, which power photosynthesis along with the sun. It is very hard to see but looking closely at the picture, there are small tube looking veins that are the vascular bundles. They seem to be under all the mesophyll cells and they transport water.
