Los Reyes Magos (Three Kings Day)

The three kings day begins on December 25th and ends January 6th. This holiday celebrates the visit of the three wise men to the infant Jesus. They brought gifts such as golf, frankincense, and myrrh. Children would receive one gift everyday. In exchange of the presents, kids would put hay and grass for the kings horses and camels. To honor this tradition my family would cut a circular shaped bread called Rosca that is stuffed with Minnie plastic babies to symbolize the baby Jesus.whom ever receives a baby Jesus must have a party on February 2nd. The preferred meal to make is tamales.
