In this class we will be inventing our own algorithms! A lot of you are probably familiar with the standard algorithm shown above.

These are most important because....

We will need The Three C's in order to do this. Why are we doing this? Because this standard algorithm hides the math going on in this addition problem. Inventing your own that doesn't hide the math will increase your understanding of numbers and strengthen your math skills for future problems.
