The Louisiana Purchase is when The US bought the Louisiana territory from France. Thomas Jefferson wanted to buy the Louisiana territory and before James Monreo got to France Charles Maurice de Talleyrand asked Robert Livingston what he thinks the United States would pay for the Louisiana territory. In the end United States agreed to buy the Louisiana territory for $11,250,000.
