Battle of Saratoga
The battle of Saratoga was fought by the Americans and the British.
The Americans knew their way around because it was New York ,so the Americans cut down trees to block the british from finding them.
The battle of saratoga started on September 19th, 1777 and ended October 7th, 1777. Soon The British surrenderd.
The British went for the Native Americans and generals first because they knew their way around the land.
The general for the British army was John Burgoyne, and the general for the Americans was Horgatio Gates.
This battle is important because it got france to to know that the American Army is capable to win a battle.
