Technology's effect in Fahrenheit 451

The people were obsessed with the parlor walls and seashell radios. Technology was their central focus. The people did not have feelings. The only relationships the people had were with the parlor family. People were like robots. Books were considered a threat and were banned. Crime, violence, and wars were a daily occurance.

"'Funny, how funny, not to remember where or when you met your husband or wife'" (Bradbury 40).
