This is Goldenrod, known scientifically as Solidago. Goldenrod blooms from late summer to early fall. They are common in North America. Goldenrod is sometimes said to cause allergic reactions, but that is impossible as Goldenrod pollen is too heavy and sticky to be blown off by wind.
