Understanding the problem

BACKWARD PROBLEM- SOLVING

This method should be used at the exploring phase of the cycle.

If we do not clearly understand what the problem is we will not be able to solve it.

Working backward helps us identify the actual root of the problem enabling us to set the right goals, and come up with relevant alternatives.
